Crazy Pretty

De Morges Braun lettuce, from Territorial Seeds. Two days of rain, and this puppy is almost a pound of pretty. Good thing I have vegan neighbors.

Gorgeous lettuce! Should make a fine salad indeed!

Oh yum! What beautiful greenery! I miss lettuce from the garden... I think my romaine will be ready soon, then that's it for the season. :(

That is one rock star lettuce!

CVF, thank you. It is very fine, isn't it?

Momma_S, I think we're going to have some lettuce yet, but this is the true peak season example.

Jackie, isn't it amazing?

Don't you just love the spring green season rush! I put my container of young Merlot lettuces outside on the deck last weekend and the weather promptly turned very wet and windy and they seemed to just eat it up! LOL! They grew and turned beautiful deep purple red. Got to love those spring lettuces.

kitsapFG, the spring rainy season is the only time I think I can understand the Beatrix Potter-type English gardening. The lettuces! I'm going to go out and get dinner right now.

Michelle, they are wonderful; it's the least I can do.

Daphne, thanks.

What a load--and your fall planting totals are amazing! You have quite the green thumb.
