I used to cook like that, but stopped (unknowingly until I read your post). It is a very good but draining undertaking, but in the long run, easier. So nice to hear that you went out for a quiet meal with Eric after all of your hard work.Kristin https://www.blogger.com/profile/04323713538989288259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018402196949735412.post-8535763500251229042012-02-19T10:16:22.266-08:002012-02-19T10:16:22.266-08:00kitsapFG, yes, I remember reading about this long ...kitsapFG, yes, I remember reading about this long ago. It seemed more wild-hairish to me. But I'm enjoying it so far. Today's project is grading, plus a vat of lentil soup, plus some breads. Let's see if I get them all done.Stefaneenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08422241601075022500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018402196949735412.post-70927298915512535532012-02-18T07:19:44.076-08:002012-02-18T07:19:44.076-08:00You are doing what is calleed "Once A Month C...You are doing what is calleed "Once A Month Cooking" (OAMC) - which is actually a very efficient way to cook and buy food. You have the kitchen in shambles but once done it cleans up and does not go there again until the next big effort. You buy the ingredients in bulk and do many meals out of what would have been one meal plus leftovers that may or may not get eaten. The covenience of reaching into the freezer for something already prepared when you dont' have the time or energy to cook is a real positive. In short, it is all good!kitsapFGhttp://wwww.modernvictorygarden.com/apps/blog/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018402196949735412.post-13916379430657744682012-02-17T11:13:47.371-08:002012-02-17T11:13:47.371-08:00Daphne, the stir fry is an experiment. I'm with you, and the end of an exhausting day, it's wonderful to pull a homemade meal out of the freezer. It's usually better, and definitely faster, than eating out! I think I'm going to try that pack 'em as you get 'em approach to tomatoes this year too.Curbstone Valley Farmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06714297348566721344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018402196949735412.post-91624541390694752442012-02-16T15:11:05.146-08:002012-02-16T15:11:05.146-08:00Bravo! I don't bother with stirfries, but things like chicken pot pie filling gets made in quantity and frozen in servings of two.Daphne Gouldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17305049560953735881noreply@blogger.com
