One trug full made this many, plus a quart or a pint and a half of syrup being reduced right now. So, guessing about the half-liter jars, about 11 pints.
It's unattractively whiny of me, but I'm starting to be the least little bit tired of canning apricots.
Now I'm going to unload the dishwasher and make zucchini bread.

They look so pretty. You'll appreciate them more later when you get to taste *summer* in cold months.
I've had apricots coming out of my ears! I just dried another 6 shelves this morning. There is one more branch that's not quite ready.
Once I took the tree of the dripper, it produced mega apricots. I learned that a little too late.
I remember the days when I had an apricot tree, more than one at the last house. Secretly, don't tell my husband, I don't miss having to deal with all that fruit. I'm perfectly happy to get my fill at the farmer's market and buy super premium dried cots from Andy's Orchard instead of listening to the whir and whine of my dehydrator for weeks. Bit still, there is nothing like standing under the tree and plucking a sun warmed perfectly ripe and luscious apricot off the tree and eating it on the spot. That I do miss.
Kristin, the picture doesn't do them justice. I think you're right. But now it's time to do something else. I'm thinking crumble, pastry for park day, then maybe trying to dry some. What do you mean about the dripper? my trees get barely any irrigation at all.
Michelle, confession is good for the soul, no? At least we have Freecyle and gleaners if I get over my head.
Yes, but just think how happy you'll be when you're eating them this winter. ;)
Beautiful apricots. Wondering if you are drying any.
