Wonky Ribbing

Yep, I don't go down in needle size enough and my ribbing (although knit on needles two full sizes smaller than the body) seems bigger. I'm deluding myself into thinking that blocking will Solve All.

It had better, because I don't have enough time to take it out and redo -- because I took the plunge. The blog is rough, but if you want to knit a sweater a month, or want to try, or want to watch me try, or know someone who fits any of those categories? Send 'em over.

For the other edges? I'm going to use a four. Or maybe a three.

I'm still waiting for the KAL blog to load... ;)

But I think a little looser ribbing on the belly is fine. I think you "need" tighter ribbing on mitten wrists or such, but on a waist???

and the colorwork rocks!

I agree with you -- I wouldn't bother ripping it out. If it still bothers you when you're all done, you can snip out the rib and re-knit it down to the original cast on length. Just try to remember next time to go 4 or 5 sizes down for the ribbing (that's what I always have to do)-- not only does it make for a neater appearance, it seems to keep it's elasticity longer.

But I love the colorwork -- gorgeous spring sweater you'll have there!

That looks lovely. The ribbing looks fine in the photo so I wouldn't rip it out, you don't want it too tight there anyway.

Eh, I think it's fine and not worth ripping out, but I'm not known to be a perfectionist. The colorwork is stunning.
