Daphne hosts Harvest Monday on her blog -- this is mine for today.
A big panful of Sungolds, ready for roasting (and I left lots buried in the foliage), a bit of Padrons for dinner tonight, a handful of late strawberries, four hot Chili Red peppers for the fermenting sauce, a bowl of Roma and San Marzano paste tomatoes -- hello, crockpot!, a single Early Girl, and two Fuji apples, of which there is only one left. Yum. Not pictured was the Kubota red I pulled off the dry vine today.
The garden is slowing down some, but the summer-planted kale looks good, the peas need staking, and the kale and carrot seedlings are doing well. We will eat again!

Ooh, roasted cherry tomatoes, great idea, I've gots scads of the things at the moment. Although I think I'll wait a day or two before I fire up the oven. It was 98° last time I looked.
Michelle, I'm telling myself that 225 won't even register in the room. And they were splitting.
Those tomatoes look great, mine are a distant memory now. Roasted or dried tomatoes would be awesome!
Erin, does that mean that you'd be interested in growing a drying variety next year? I had gallons of Principe Borghese the year I grew and dried them.
Roasted peppers and tomatoes are just the best thing ever. Your garden is still giving you quite a nice bit of produce. Are you guys still enjoying warm weather or is it starting to chill down as fall approaches?
I used to love roasted cherry tomatoes. So sweet.
kitsapFG, we're heavily into a last gasp -- the Bay Area does "summer" in September and October, which is why October is the time to visit the City. But this year it's late. The tomatoes are dying, but ripening, if that makes sense. I'm hoping to get some crops direct seeded, but keeping them wet is a challenge. Wacky place.
Daphne, I always feel a little bad posting those. You poor thing. Does it help if I overcooked some? Tomato chips!
Lovely harvest! We had a great early harvest of tomatoes, but then by August we were tomato-less. I think our vines succumbed to blight--all 80 plants. So sad. I just planted 10 new vines in containers to try to produce tomatoes in the greenhouse this fall/winter. I've only used the greenhouses for propagation, so this will be a new experience to see if I can produce food in them. Crossing my fingers! (And yum, Sungold are just so delicious!) Enjoy your harvest!
It's definitely been great tomato/pepper weather the last few days. I just roasted sheet pans full of tomatoes to freeze for sauce. You've been better about picking your Padrons than I have. I kept up for a while, but I know have some beautiful, quite large Padrons, turning a stunning red color in the garden. They still taste great though. I'm looking forward to a few more before the rains finally show up!
