As the plants grow, I'll add more soil and more bin parts -- there's enough to go pretty high.
It's going to be fun to see how many pounds we end up with when they're all done.

Very clever use of the compost bin.
Very inspiring! I suspect my partner is going to have me out scrounging compost bins again!
We have a few of these bins, given to us by other people. When a third showed up, it freed one up. I'm hoping to someday grow sweet potatoes this way too, as the black sides should increase heat retention.
It's good to have an inspiring partner, Ktrion!! Thanks for stopping by.
Great idea! I have 2 sets of the same compost bin...maybe I'll try this next year. I hope you let us know how it goes! - Jackie
Three cheers for your super-duber-oober-potatoes. For a moment I thought I was speaking Ubbi Dubbi, like the kids on ZOOM.
