Actual conversation in the car, while driving The Child Who Could Have Ridden Her Bike:

Me: "I want to be Chrissy Hynde when I grow up."

Her: "You are grown up."

There are all kinds of "grown up." Some are more "grown up" than others. There's still hope :)

The only appropriate response in that situation is to proclaim "Am NOT!" and to pout.

What's the point of being grown-up if you can't act childish?
