Jumping In

Denise and I have been batting this idea around for a while, and I decided to float a test balloon.

Up on Craigslist now, our ad.

We shall see. . .

So, y'all will be gardeners for other people? That's a neat idea. You'll definitely have some takers on it.

Just WOW! Good luck.....and I hope you'll have enough time for your own projects, including this blog!

So cool. I bet you'll get takers. It's a great idea.

There are a few pwople in this area who do this. They have a certificate and call themsleves Permaculture experts.

I don't know how they'd be at maintaining, but just for planning they cost a ton.

Wow! I expect you will get alot of interest. Have you decided ahead of time how many jobs you can manage so you know when to start turning them away?

EG, there is a model for this in SF -- an outfit called MyFarm. They're apparently very very busy. . .

AG, I know. It's a stretch, and I'm not finding my to-do list shrinking that much (you're an item for this week).

Kristin, let's hope so.

Ribbit, as I said, there are folks who do this. I'm planning to charge what it's worth : )

kitsapFG, when that's a problem, I'll let you know!

This is such a great idea. I have my fingers crossed for you that it takes off quick.

Cool! What a great idea!! I hope it takes off really well, yet remains manageable.

Good luck with your new business! I am sure there is lots of demand for the service. I was just reading a magazine article about something similar, I will have to look it up and send it along to you.

You crazy women! I can barely keep up with my own yard; I can't imagine keeping up with the yards of other people!

I guess I can't be tempted to hire you, though, since I'm not in Alameda or Berkeley...

Good luck! Can't wait to hear about your garden commissions!

Susan, thanks. You're welcome to refer people to us.

Hey, RubyLouise -- good to see you. It is an idea that should work. I think it depends on lots of outside things.

Dan, thanks for the vote of confidence.

Tricia, ha, as though your yard needs anything. We would give you a good price on a chicken coop, though, if you all decide you really need Very Fresh eggs.

Good luck with it -- get lots of hands for the "doing" so you can focus on the high-value "advising".

Good luck!. I'm a bit late with it but I'm still catching up from vacation.
